RUMORED BUZZ ON P80 GLOCK 17 FOR SALE

I am confused. I purchased a 22lr revolver a couple months ago, I wanted to lengthen the barrel by about 2 inches so I requested wherever I could purchase a substitute barrel on the manufactures Web-site, they stated that the gun was registered to me by the atf with a certain barrel duration and if I improve that I would want a fresh serial number.
